Massive Defection Hits Gombe: Over 500 Decamp to SDP, Declare APC and Others as "Failed Entities"
In a major political earthquake that has sent shockwaves across Gombe State, over 500 individuals from Kalshingi Ward, Akko Local Government Area, have officially abandoned the APC, PDP, and NNPP, declaring their allegiance to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The decampees, comprising youths, women, and community leaders, described their former parties as "failed entities built on empty promises," stressing that the SDP stands as the only credible and trustworthy alternative with a clear vision for a better Gombe State and Nigeria at large.

The mass defection was formally acknowledged during a colorful reception ceremony led by the Akko Local Government SDP Chairman, Usman Muhammad, who presented the new members to the acting State Chairman, Comrade Adamu Abubakar Modibbo, in the presence of Dr. Bashir Abdullahi Gaddafi, the State Publicity Secretary, and other influential stakeholders of the party.

In his remarks, Comrade Modibbo warmly welcomed the defectors, assuring them of inclusive leadership, opportunities for active participation, and a new era of genuine representation. He called on all members to intensify grassroots mobilization and ensure that the voice of the SDP echoes in every household across the 11 local government areas of Gombe State.

"This is not just a defection; it is a clear sign that the people of Gombe are tired of failed promises, economic hardship, and leadership without direction," Comrade Modibbo declared. "SDP remains the beacon of hope, unity, and the true progress that the good people of Gombe deserve."

With this wave of defections, the SDP is rapidly positioning itself as the unstoppable force ready to rescue Gombe State from the shackles of poor governance.
