As  Muslims around the world are celebrating the new Islamic year, 1st Muharram 1447, which coincides with today, Thursday, June 26, 2025, Professor Muhammad Omolaja (MAO) - The Ikem Mba 1 of Africa and former Presidential Aspirant of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) during the 2023 general election - has sent his wishes to Nigerians particularly Muslims and other Muslims all over the world to celebrate the Sallah with them.Professor Muhammad Omolaja in his message which was delivered through his Media Director, Comrade Ajibade Alabi, congratulates Muslim brothers and sisters in particular around the world on witnessing another Hjerah year 1447. Prof. Omolaja said that “It is a beginning of new Islamic calendar year for Muslims all over the world and I am using this medium to say Happy New Year to all our Muslim brothers and sisters especially in Nigeria. I believe as we are ushering in the New Year, so also Nigerians will be ushering in new horizons and new beginning in the live of our darling father land particularly in political growth and economic prosperity. Like I always say, there is still hope for Nigerians especially if our leaders can sacrifice selfishness for national selflessness and consciousness priority." Professor Omolaja also used the opportunity to express his warm Sallah greetings to all Nigerians especially the Muslims wishing them many more prosperous years on earth in sound health and happiness. "I am using this medium to great Nigerians on this special occasion of Islamic New Year and I believe that if all of us work assiduously on how to achieve a complete change of guards in our political arena as from the year 2027, better days are still coming on our ways." He declared!In his message, the high level profile politician also encouraged individuals and communities to enjoy the New Year making use of significant part of the year on talent hunt so that only the competent and credible candidates are presented for various elective positions especially the youths and women as we countdown to the forthcoming 2027 general election. He said that it is time to seriously engage the Nigerian youths at all levels of elective positions from councillorship to presidency rather than just engaging them as political thugs and hoodlums risking their lives and wasting their talents! Granted that this submission will be adopted, productive years of optimal performance await the Nigerian economy as being experienced presently in Burkina Faso under President Ibrahim Traore’s military administration.   Finally, Professor Muhammad Omolaja used the opportunity to speak on his dream for better Nigeria, saying Nigerians have their destiny in their hands comes 2027 general election when he believes that the incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that has inflicted the prevailing hardship of the highest magnitude and various dimensions on innocent Nigerians shall be voted out!
