Excerpt:

 You are popularly known as Ijoba Na Danku, a name which has stuck to you even more than your real name. But for records purposes.can you introduce yourself properly to our readers and your profession

*Yusuf Adebola Adepitan is my name but many people if not everyone, address me and call me as Ijoba Na Danku. This name has stick to me for many years, it's even popular than my real name. Many did not know me with my name but with my alias
I am a music promoter,  talent management.  A profession . I have been into  talent management for  22 years now  that is, I started as a manager 22 years ago . I have managed Davie Conga Terry G, Orishe Femi, Race, there is also a Lace , they are both my products , Habbeb Okikiola  aka Portable is also my product, we had a clash sometimes ago, I mean Portable , he offended me but he has come to apologized so we are good now.

//////////////////////////////

*Your nickname, Ijoba Na Danku. How did you come about it

*The name stem from the fact that I am the shortest person in my family so my brothers n sisters do address me as Danku you know anyone that's not tall or who is  short

//////////////////////////////////

*Of all the artistes you have managed and produced, which one would you say gives you a lot of problem

*It's portable . He is a bunch of trouble makers, his trouble is too much . But he is getting to realize that he doesn't need to be trouble makers or causing trouble. He has come back to me to apologized to me after he realized he has not been doing well as far as his characters are concerned . It is always bad hearing every bad thin associated with his name. Today it's him against Ibadan people over the late monarch of the town today it's him against Laide Bakare, all these are not good for his image, though he may think he is enjoying it but the earlier he understands it now . Though he has come to apologized to me and I have to accept him back. He is still my boy

///////////////////////////////////

*You said he has changed, but for the past few months now, it has been portable this, portable that . Why is it like that

*That is his way. That is portable for you , that is how he knows how to do his things and is working for him, is like he can't be changed , no one can change him. We the management tried to calm him down on his craft which we don't want to affect others too .

////////////////////////////////////

*But some people believe may be he is taken drugs reason why he was behaving in such a way

*See let me tell you there's nothing wrong with portable. He just wants to be doing his own things in his own way,and which has been going on good for him. May be that is how he wants to be having his own style of life

//////////////////////////////////

*What can you say of Orishe Femi

*I was the manager of Orishe Femi before I started managing Terry G. We had a clashed but we are able to settle it between us. He is a good artiste I must confess and I am always happy that I once managed him

///////////////////////////////////

*You have produced a lot of talented artistes. What is that you see in them that made you to have interest in managing them

*First of all, an artiste has to be talented and also be able to control his ego, that's is character So many artiste doesn't have these  two things at the same time. They either poseses one and leave the other , but it's very very important they have both.
If you see an artiste you will know he has talent with the way he sings but it's the character and his charisma that we explode him. And unfortunately some of our artists poseses talents but they don't actually have the charisma and characters to go far in their chosen carrier, and this has been their greatest undoing. There's always limit to talents

///////////////////////////////////

*But in the course of this interview, you said you had issues with Portable and Orishe Femi, before you settled with them. Are you saying you are also a difficult manager or it's just coincidence

*Well, like you rightly said, it's just coincidence that I had issues with both artists. I am not a difficult manager to deal with. Apart the two I have managed and still managing artistes and like I also stated, artist are very difficult to manage. Some come with ego that they are already super star but it's not like that , that is why we have managers to put them in proper ways. Concerning the questions that I had issues with both Portable and Orishe Femi, yes but it's on different issues and different time and also it was based on professional level and not private stuff. It is natural for artistes and their  managers to have misunderstanding or issues but the ability to ironed things out is what makes the difference.

///////////////////////////////////

*You have managed Orishe Femi and Portable before. Have you one time or the other have both on them on stage to perform in concert or any function

*Yes I have done that before Portable and Orishe Femi has played together .
